Our Emerging Spaces
Vyom 1972 Dark Sky Sites and Observatory (Launching 2026)
Located less than 100 kilometres from Mumbai, our upcoming dark-sky observatories (rated Bortle Scale 3 and below) will feature advanced telescopes, high-resolution astrophotography systems, and educational facilities. These spaces are designed as hubs for scientific observation, cognitive engagement, and interdisciplinary learning — offering participants a platform to explore the cosmos through precision, inquiry, and human insight.
The three Experiences
Dark-Sky Observation
At Vyom, dark-sky observation is an immersive experience that connects participants with the cosmos through guided telescope sessions, astrophotography, and celestial events like the Messier Marathon. These encounters spark curiosity and transform stargazing into a meaningful exploration of the universe.
Competency Development
At Vyom, competency development is an immersive experience that builds emotional, cognitive, and behavioural skills essential for navigating a complex world. Through real-world challenges and reflective exercises, participants strengthen key competencies to thrive in dynamic environments.
Visits to Astroscience Institutes
Participants undertake carefully designed journeys to leading research centres such as CERN, NASA and ELT (European Southern Observatory), gaining hands-on scientific exposure, deepening their interest in STEM, and exploring how astroscience contributes to addressing broader human challenges.
